Why Join the HPC?
- You will be helping protect Sioux City's valuable history.
- If you like history and/or architecture, then this is a great way to actually work with those areas.
- You get to participate in local government and see your energy turn into substance.
- You make friends all over the community and work with a great group of people.
- The HPC only meets once a month allowing for busy individuals with little spare time to still participate. Those with more time to dedicate will always be able to find a project to work on.
Requirements to Join
- You must be a Sioux City Resident.
- Be able to attend meetings the first Tuesday of every month.
- Serve a 3 year term.
- Have a passion for saving Sioux City's history.
How do you join?
Its easy. Fill out the form linked below and you will be contacted by the HPC staff person about the next steps. You will need to attend a City Board Meeting for a short interview at some point. Commission space is limited, so please feel free to contact the HPC before applying to see if we are in need of additional members.
