Historic Preservation Commission Membership


Anyone interested in applying for one of these positions should contact the City Clerk's Office, P.O. Box 447, Sioux City, Iowa, 51102, or call 712-279-6313 for more information. A link to the application is available at the bottom of this page.

Members

The Commission consists of nine (9) members.

Terms of Office

Members of the Historic Preservation Commission are appointed for three (3) year terms.

Quorum

Five members shall constitute a quorum.

Absences

Members unable to attend meetings shall notify the Chair or city staff prior to the day of the meeting.

Absence of Officers

If the Chair is absent, the Acting Chair shall be decided by a vote of the members present.

Committees

Special committees may be appointed at the discretion of the Chair for purposes and terms which the Commission approves.

Resignations

A member may resign from the Commission by submitting a written letter of resignation to the Mayor and the Chair.

Meetings

The Commission shall hold a meeting at least three times per year, on the first Tuesday of the month.
